Jaipur, Feb 20 (Language) Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday targeted the Narendra Modi government at the Center over the rising price of petrol diesel, saying on Saturday that it was a result of its wrong economic policies. Gahlot tweeted, ‘Petrol- The common people are plagued by diesel prices. Prices have been increasing continuously for the last 11 days. This is the result of wrong economic policies of Modi government. Crude oil prices in the international market are currently half of the UPA government’s tenure, but petrol and diesel prices have reached an all-time high. ‘ Levies excise duty. Whereas during the UPA government in 2014 there was only Rs 9.20 on petrol and just Rs 3.46 on diesel. Modi government should reduce excise duty in the interest of the common man. The Chief Minister has written that the Modi government has continuously reduced the basic excise duty of the states and additional excise duty and special excise duty only on the central part to fill its treasury. Is continuously enhanced. Due to this, the State Governments are having to increase VAT to raise their economic resources. But to give relief to the common people, the state government has reduced VAT by 2% in the last month itself. Instead of giving any such relief, the Modi government is increasing the prices of petrol and diesel daily. According to Gahlot, ‘Some people spread rumors that the Rajasthan government imposes the highest tax on petrol, so the prices here are high. Petrol in BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh is taxed more than Rajasthan, so the price of petrol in Jaipur is less than in Bhopal.
