Chandigarh, 15 February (Language) Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij said on Monday that ‘wherever the seed of protest against the country should be eradicated.’ Vij made the remarks two days after the arrest of environmental activist Disha Ravi. Disha Ravi has been arrested for allegedly sharing a ‘toolkit’ related to farmers’ performance on social media. The Delhi Police has claimed that the 21-year-old activist is the editor of ‘Toolkit Google Doc’ and the ‘main conspirator’ who created and disseminated the documents. He was arrested by the cyber cell from Bengaluru on Saturday. BJP leader Vij tweeted, “Whoever is in the mind of the nation, the seed should be uprooted from its roots, whether it is Ravi or someone else.” The minister shared the response from Twitter following a complaint about this tweet. The response from Twitter says that they have received a complaint about the minister’s account regarding the said tweet. Ttiver said, “We investigated this material and found that it was not removable under the Twitter rule or German law. So we did not take any action. “Environmental activist Greta Thunberg shared a ‘tool kit’ to support the farmers’ movement against three agricultural laws.” In this ‘tool kit’ information was given about various steps which include protesting on Twitter, demonstrating outside Indian embassies.
