Bomb and bullets in West Bengal’s West Medinipur district on Tuesday night by a bike-borne assailant killed a worker of the ruling Trinamool Congress and injured two others. In Abhirampur village under Narayangarh police station area, Shobhik Dolui and two other Trinamool Congress workers were sitting, when around three o’clock at night, three persons came on a motorcycle and threw a bomb towards them.
A police officer said the attackers also opened fire on 24-year-old Dolui before fleeing from the spot. He said that all three were taken to a hospital in Kharagpur, where Dolui was declared dead. At the same time, two others have been transferred to Medinipur Medical College and Hospital in critical condition.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday said that she is not afraid of anyone and she cannot be intimidated from jail or anything else. She said that her mother tongue Bangla has taught her to fight like a tiger and she is not afraid of mice. Without naming any person or any political party, Mamata Banerjee said that she has not learned to lose. Also said don’t try to scare us from jail, we have fought against guns and are not afraid to fight against mice.
