Hyderabad, 19 February (Language) Some form of corona virus is spreading rapidly in the southern states of the country and the situation needs to be closely monitored. This is stated in a study by CSIR-scientists of the Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB). This study states that the virus mutation patterns that have been identified in many countries of the world have little presence in India, but this may be because genome sequencing has not done enough. CCMB scientists are constantly sequencing and analyzing the genome of the corona virus. CCMB director Rakesh Mishra said in a release, “We have found evidence that the ‘N440K’ form of the corona virus is spreading rapidly in the southern states. Close monitoring is needed to understand its prevalence. ”He said that it is very important to find out the new form in time before the situation deteriorates. The study said that vaccines are useful to protect against corona virus, but applying masks, cleaning hands and keeping proper distance is the most effective solution. Scientists have presented this fact after analyzing more than 5,000 forms of corona virus and their emergence during the pandemic. Mishra said that in many countries there have been very few cases of new format causing fear in India and it also has ‘E484K’ and ‘N501Y’ formats. “One reason for the low presence may also be that there is not enough sequencing,” the study said. More work of genome sequencing of corona virus is needed in the country to accurately detect the new form of the virus.
