Who has everything a woman can expect from her marriage — a responsible husband, in-laws, and two children, yet she feels incomplete as a person. Breaking the norms of normal society, she sets out on a journey of self-discovery and finds her way. Thus, the story of a married woman and her journey is told. Piplika, on the other hand, is the complete opposite, an artist who is never interested in something but is CONVENTIONAL, helping her find her way on self-discovery.

Manju Kapoor says, “I am not an educated writer. I am a writer who puts society like a mirror, ‘Ok, this is what I see’ … It is trying to understand these things, poisons and viruses start to flourish if left unchecked. Goes, and it all starts on a personal level. “

As she hopes her novel’s adaptation will reflect her protagonist’s crisis and the turmoil of the outside world. She goes on to say, “First of all, the outside influence also takes place inside … If you have something that goes as deep as a suspicion of another religion or intolerance, it will change the larger fabric of society and its troubles. Can’t impress, the trouble is that we’re still dealing with it. “

Lecturer and writer Manju Kapoor is the winner of the 1999 Commonwealth Writers’ Award, having written books like “The Emigrant”, “Home” and “Brothers”.

His previous book “Custody” was adapted by Alt Balaji for the TV show ‘Ye Hai Mohabbatein’, which was a huge hit among TV viewers. Kapoor also said that the production house’s concept note for ‘A Married Woman’, published in 2002, was loyal.

“I was quite impressed … It was exactly what I was trying to say, the same sentiment I was trying to convey, the love and the crisis and even the political background,” he said.

After watching the promo clip of the show, the Delhi writer remembers the time she wrote the book.

The series ‘The Married Woman’ will be available for streaming only from March 8 on Alt Balaji and Zee 5.
