Wife and lover plot to murder
The case is on the intervening night of 22 and 23 February, when the blood-soaked corpse of 35-year-old Rashid Hussain was found outside his house in the Khadkhadia Masjid area of the city’s bus stand area. After getting information about the incident at around 3.30 am, the police reached the spot and started questioning. SDOP Deepa Dodeway said that she received information that no one was present at the house apart from the husband and wife at the time of the incident. All the people of the family went to a wedding in Ujjain. So the wife was on the radar of the police from the beginning. When the police proceeded with the investigation, the story of illegal relations came out after the incident.
Husband murdered with a knife
The deceased Rashid’s wife had a love affair with a young man named Imran before her marriage. The police came to know that even after marriage, the two were constantly meeting, to which husband Rashid had objections. Troubled by the restrictions imposed by husband Rashid, the wife and her lover finally planned to kill Rashid. According to the fixed plan, the wife called her husband out of the house in the morning. Together with her lover, she first threw red chili in her husband’s eyes and then later stabbed him to death with a knife.
While the lover absconded from the spot after the incident, the wife kept pretending to celebrate the husband’s death. When the police added all the links, the truth of this murder was revealed due to illicit relations. At present, the police have started action by registering a case under section 302. The police has also arrested the accused wife and her lover.
