Due to increase in epidemic cases in Indore district, which is most affected by COVID-19 in Madhya Pradesh, the administration has decided to stop organizing the traditional procession procession of Rangpanchami here. After the meeting of Disaster Management Committee held on Tuesday evening, District Magistrate Manish Singh said that in the last few days, especially due to congested programs in Indore city, cases of corona virus infection have increased. In view of this, we have decided that this time the organization of GER will not be approved.
He told that the organizers of GER have been told not to prepare for this procession on Rangpanchami. The District Magistrate said that big religious and social events in the city will also not be allowed at present. He informed that the number of beds is being increased in local hospitals for COVID-19 patients.
Also said that only 50 percent of the total capacity of the hall or open ground will be allowed to be invited to the events held in the hotels and marriage gardens of the city. He told that people who do not wear masks in public places will be strictly fined. According to official information, a total of 58,996 patients of corona virus infection have been found from March 24 to February 22 in Indore district with a population of about 35 lakhs, out of which 931 patients have died.
