Chandigarh, February 13 (PTI) On Saturday, before the civic body elections in Punjab, State Congress President Sunil Jakhar accused the opposition of making baseless allegations against the state government and claimed that the opposition had already ‘accepted defeat’. Jakhar said that the opposition parties are now looking for an excuse. The state Congress president issued a statement here, saying, “He has no argument against the Congress contesting elections on the basis of development works.” They are running and they have already accepted defeat. . Taking a dig at the Aam Aadmi Party, Jakhar said that it is not only “faceless” but it is also an “issueless” party. The Congress leader said that the Aam Aadmi Party is a party that does not even have a leader in Punjab and everything is being “outsourced” from Delhi, as a party that falsely accuses it and later apologizes unconditionally. Is known He said, “It is not surprising that the Aam Aadmi Party should issue an advertisement and start seeking applications for the Chief Minister’s job as it does not have any leader who can present it as the Chief Minister’s candidate.” Jakhar said that the three opposition parties – Shiromani Akali Dal, Aam Aadmi Party and Bharatiya Janata Party – are fighting for second place among themselves as the Congress is winning elections in the entire state. He said that while the Akali Dal and BJP are doing ‘divisive politics’, the Aam Aadmi Party is engaged in ‘subversive’ politics, and people are aware of their intentions. Criticizing the Akali Dal, Jakhar reminded that in 2012 the Akalis “attacked” Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh’s vehicle with swords and sharp-edged weapons. He said SAD leaders have been using “provocative language” because of which there was a protest against him in Jalalabad. He alleged that the Akalis had filed fake cases against Congress leaders and workers.
