Jind, 21 February (Language) Unhappy over not repealing the three agricultural laws, a farmer from Gulkani village in Jind district of Haryana plowed a wheat crop standing on his two acres of land with a tractor. Rammehar, a resident of Gulkani in the district, reached his farm on Sunday with a tractor and plowed the two acres of crop. During this time, apart from the women of Ram Mehar’s family, a large number of farmers also reached the farm. Ram Mehar, a ten-acre farmer, told that if I take the crop towards ripening, then the expenditure will increase and there is no guarantee of getting the price right. He said that he has no resources to store crops. Ram Meher said that it is better that the crop be destroyed before ripening, so that the damage can be avoided and if the crop is burnt when it is ripe, there will be air pollution and the fertility of the land will also be lost. Also, the burning of the remains will come under the legal purview of the government. Meanwhile, in view of the upcoming wheat harvest season, farmers will now come on dharna in shifts on dharna being given at Khatkad toll. Everyday, a strategy has been set for farmers of 15 villages to come on strike. District President of Bhakiyu, Gurnam Singh Chadhuni also participated in the dharna. Chadhuni said that the strike will not end until these laws are withdrawn. On the other hand, while addressing the Kisan Mahapanchayat organized in village Purakhas of Gannaur light in Sonipat district of the state, Congress MP Deepender Hooda said that the state’s coalition government has made the state the number one state in the country in terms of unemployment. He said that this government made the state number one in crime, ruined the economy of the most invested Haryana and has now made the state number one in the farmers’ protest as well. Deepender announced in front of a large number of farmers present in the Kisan Mahapanchayat that just as the Hooda government had given martyr status to the victims of the Kandela scandal, the Hooda government had given employment status, on the same lines as the Congress government in the state gave its life in the farmer movement One member of the family of every farmer of Haryana who lost, will be given a government job.
