Goa: Union Minister Shripad Naik's condition stable, will be discharged from hospital on February 24

On January 28, hospital officials said that Union Minister Shripad Naik’s health is stable and he is recovering. Actually, the car of Union Ayush Minister Shripad Naik was overturned near Yallapura in Uttara Kannada district. The minister has been seriously injured in this road accident, while his wife has died in this road accident. Union Minister Shripad Naik has been shifted from Ankola to the Medical College of Bankolim, Goa.

Admitted to this hospital

He was admitted to the government hospital in Ankola after the accident. According to Uttar Pradesh Kannada SP Shivprakash Devaraju, the personal assistant of Union Minister Shripad Naik also died in the accident. The minister was hospitalized, while his wife also died in the accident. At the same time, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had informed that Naik’s condition is stable after two surgeries, there is no need to refer him to Delhi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had asked Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to make proper arrangements for treatment of Union Minister Shripad Naik. Shripad Naik is the Minister of State for Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy and Defense. He is representing the North Goa Parliamentary seat from BJP. Naik has been the former Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare.

According to GMCH dean, Naik was undergoing physiotherapy in bed. Earlier in the day, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar and Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant met Naik.
