Launched as a Central University on October 2, 1974, the ‘University of Hyderabad’ soon became one of the leading educational institutions in the country in teaching and research in PG courses. It is also known as the Central University of Hyderabad. The varsity was built on an area of ​​about 200 acres in Gatchibauli. It was also ranked seventh in the list of best universities in the country in 2017 when the National Institutional Ranking Framework was released. Center for Distance and Virtual Learning: Launched in 1994. Initially the institute conducted only two diploma programs. It currently offers 14-year diploma programs as well as skill-developing courses.

Eligibility: Degree in Health / Medical / Nursing / Allied Health Sciences or any bachelor’s degree followed by two years of work experience in the healthcare sector.

Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (DAI & ML)

Eligibility: Must have passed any Bachelors‌ degree. Inter Maths, however, must be read as a subject.

Diploma in Telecom Technology and Management (DTTM)

Eligibility: Must have Engineering ‌ Pass in ECE / EEE / EIE / ETC / ICT Branch or Engineering ‌ Degree in Electronics as a subject. Those who have passed M.Sc Electronics / AMIE are also eligible.

Up-Skilling Programs (six months)

Advanced Certificate Course on Assistant Assistant Reproductive Technologies

Eligibility: Biology as a subject

PG Pass Certificate Program in Critical Care

Qualification: In Nursing / Medical

Degree, Allied Health Professionals

Selection: Candidates for all the above courses will be selected on the basis of academic merit. Reservations are applicable for SC, ST and OBC candidates as per Government norms in allotment of seats. Similarly 3 per cent seats were allotted to Divyangs.
