The minister said that the cabinet has decided to implement “Rajiv Nagar Awas Yojana” in all the districts of the state to provide housing to all classes of houseless people. He informed that under this, government land will be made available to Chhattisgarh Housing Board at the rate of Re. 1 per square feet. Under this scheme, one lakh residential buildings will be built in all urban, semi-urban and major towns of the state. Minister Choubey said that to encourage investment, employment and habitation in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, a proposal for reestablishing the development fee of infrastructure at the sector level has been approved under which the premium rates are reduced from 10 to 21 percent on average. He said that at the same time the proposal for allotment of land at concessional premium rate was approved for various projects to encourage investment, employment and settlements in Nava Raipur.
