After the riot in "Matrosskaya Tishina", the head was replaced

He has to fight illegal call centers

In the legendary – there is almost a quarter of a millennium! – The head of the SIZO “Matrosskaya Tishina” will be replaced in the near future. Viktor Pastushenko held this position for just over a year. As experts say, the task of making a model isolation cell out of Matrosskaya, and, first of all, ridding him of illegal mobile phones, was not up to him.

His place will be taken, according to “MK”, one of the current deputy head of the “Kremlin Central” (the same one where Alexei Navalny is sitting).

It is curious that at the beginning of February there were riots in Matrossk. The action, which the prisoners staged, was not connected with Navalny (not everyone even knows him there), but with the “priest”, from whom a whole warehouse of mobile phones was confiscated.

Recall that after the scandal with VIP cameras and the arrests of some employees (together with the criminals they extorted money from wealthy prisoners), the heads of Matrosskaya Tishina began to change very quickly. In February 2018, Sergey Pozdeev was appointed head. In the fall of 2019, he was replaced by Viktor Pastushenko. Since before that he was the head of the Tomsk SIZO, where, just like in “Matrossk”, there are hospital buildings, they expected that he would hold out longer in his new post. But it didn’t work out.

Last year, Matrosskaya Tishina was shaken by multiple checks. They looked for call centers from which prisoners call in the guise of bank employees. As a result, a large number of mobile phones and chargers were seized. But it was not possible to turn “Matrosskaya Tishina” into a pre-trial detention center, wherever there were no mobile phones. Including, because the phones are sneaked by employees. So, last year there was a criminal story involving a female censor. According to MK, she carried the phones from which, therefore, serious fraudulent actions were committed (and this was not a trivial call from the bank).

Apparently, it is precisely because of failures in the fight against mobile phones that Pastushenko leaves the post. In his place, according to our information, will come the current deputy head of the institution for security and operational work or, more simply, the deputy for the BOR of SIZO No. 99/1, known as the “Kremlin Central”.

“As far as I know, this position was held by Oleg Gafarov,” says Denis Nabiullin, a former inmate of the Kremlin Central. – A colonel with a cunning, who, when necessary, knows how to smile and even joke. Well, he knows his own worth. The main thing is that if he is not right, he is able to admit. I “fought” with him a little when my letters were not sent to the court. Sorted it out and apologized.

Let’s remind that the “Kremlin Central” is located right on the territory of “Matrosskaya Tishina” they even have a checkpoint in common. But if the first contains less than 100 prisoners, then the second -1600.

Be that as it may, it is not a fact that the new boss will be able to carry out a revolutionary coup in Matrosskaya Tishina. It is too large and complex an insulator.

On February 2, unrest broke out in the pre-trial detention center. We learned about them after relatives called the imprisoned human rights activists, in particular, the author of these lines.

– The rights of our relatives behind bars are violated! – said the wife of one of the prisoners. – He called me and said that 200 people are protesting against illegal actions, they are on hunger strike.

Note that he called her from an illegal cell phone. And the incident, as it turned out, was related to the “proprietor”. They found more than a dozen mobile phones in his cell, took him away, and placed him in a punishment cell. Protesting against such an “inhuman” attitude, “the prisoners began to knock on doors, refuse food, and write statements to the prosecutor’s office. The protest ended quickly. But now they intend to bring its activists to disciplinary responsibility. In reality, such actions are usually organized only on a signal from the criminals. Apparently, the current deputy for the Kremlyovka BOR in the role of the head of the Matrosskaya Tishina will be the first to fight the “postentsy”.

“There have never been any supporters in the Kremlin Central,” Nabiullin says. – All the cameras are “human”. Even thieves in law washed the floors one by one.

Whether the fight against the “postents” and with mobile phones will lead to success, we can only guess. But she can cause new unrest in the legendary pre-trial detention center if everything goes without sufficient diplomacy.
