Kolkata, Feb 20 (Language) A person from the Rohingya community of Myanmar has been arrested from Ghoutiari Sharif in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal on charges of illegally entering the country. Police gave this information on Saturday. Police said the person has been identified as Mohammad Idris, a resident of Buthidaung town in Rakhine State, Myanmar and was arrested late Friday near Ghutiaree Sharif Hospital. Police said the person has been identified as Mohammad Idris, a resident of Buthidaung town in Rakhine State, Myanmar and was arrested late Friday near Ghutiaree Sharif Hospital. A top police official said that based on an information, the police team of Baruipur district took action with special task force personnel. “He could not produce any valid documents nor give satisfactory answers as to how he crossed international boundaries,” he said. “We had to lay a trap to arrest him.” He entered the country on Thursday night.
